الملخص

تكمن أهمية الرحلات العلمية بين البلدان الإسلامية  كونها تمثل مظهراً من مظاهر الحضارة والرقي الفكري ، حيث راح علماء المسلمين الأوائل والأواخر يهجرون بلدانهم ويكابدون مشاق السفر والأخطار المحدقة للتوجه الى مراكز العلم المنتشرة في أرجاء العالم الإسلامي 

وأسهمت رحلات العلماء المتبادلة بين علماء البصرة واليمن في تعميق الروابط العلمية بين البلدين  ،  وبالنظر لثقلهما العلمي المتميز ودورهما الفكري الرائد في الحضارة الإسلامية لقرون عديدة  ، لذا فكان لهما تأثير عظيم في مسيرة الحركة العلمية لكليهما وللمجتمع الاسلامي عامة
