Abstract

The importance of the research is focused on explaining the military events that took place in the caliphate of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib () through what al-Dhahabi mentioned in his well-known book, Rightly-Guided Caliphs. Those who broke out of the caliphate of the Imam are out of the right that they must follow, and he tries hard not to mention many of the events that preceded, permeated and followed those military events, but the context of the historical narrative made it necessary for him to mention some of them, which we will address in this research.
