إن القراءة الثقافية تسعى إلى إعادة قراءة النصوص الأدبية في ضوء سياقاتها التاريخية والثقافية ، ذلك أن النسق الثقافي هو مواضعة اجتماعية , دينية , أخلاقية , استيقية ,... تفرضها , في لحظة معينة من تطورها , الوضعية الاجتماعية , والتي يقبلها ضمنياً المؤلف وجمهوره حيث تتضمن النصوص في مبناها أنساقاً مضمرة ومخاتلة قادرة على المراوغة والتمنـّع، ولا يمكن كشفها أو كشف دلالاتها النامية في المنجز الأدبي إلا بإنجاز تصوّر كلّي حول طبيعة البنى الثقافية للمجتمع، وإدراك حقيقة هيمنة تلك الأنساق المؤسسة على فكرة الأيديولوجيا ومفهوم المحتمل في صراع القوى الاجتماعية المختلفة , وذلك ما تتجه إليه هذه الدراسة عبر قراءة للأنساق الثقافية في كتاب ( عيون الأخبار ) لابن قتيبة .
