yAbstract
The water crisis is among the most prominent problems that threaten the future of countries, especially the riparian countries, due to the intransigence of the upstream countries not to recognize the internationalism of the rivers that originate from their lands and consider them as national rivers that cross the borders. And it also does not recognize the rights of these countries or their shares, in addition to the weakness of international law and the lack of recognition of the agreements and treaties concluded by the upstream and downstream countries, as well as the interference of the major countries in fueling differences between the riparian countries to pass their interests and policies, and this is evident through the American intervention in International support for Ethiopia against the Nile Basin countries, including Egypt and Sudan.
As for the ongoing disputes between the Euphrates and Tigris basin countries, they are due to the Turks’ vision of the importance of water, which it considers its natural right, as well as Iraq’s natural right to oil, and accordingly it is necessary to bargain and replace a barrel of water with a barrel of oil, but this is contrary to divine and human justice, since oil is a natural right for all, which is It is permissible for all and cannot be monopolized by anyone, in complete contrast to oil.
