شمل مجتمع البحث مشرفي المديرية العامة للتربية في ذي قار ولقسمي الاشراف الاختصاصي والتربوي حيث بلغ العدد الكلي (385 ) مشرف ومشرفة موزعين على (135) مشرف اختصاصي و(250) مشرفا تربويا بينما بلغت عينة الدراسة (200) مشرف ومشرفة تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية
وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي و قام ببناء مقياس التعاطف الوجداني والمعرفي اعتمادا على الصيغة التكاملية للآراء وافكار المنظرين الذين تناولوا متغير البحث الحالي وقد تم ايجاد الخصائص الاحصائية والسكومترية للمقياس واستخدم الوسائل الاحصائية الاختبار التائي لعينة واحدة والاختبار التائي لعينيتين مستقلتين ومعامل ارتباط بيرسون , وتوصلت الدراسة الى عدة نتائج أهمها :
-ان مستوى التعاطف الوجداني والمعرفي لدى افراد العينة كان مرتفعا0
-بينت الدراسة الى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في مستوى التعاطف الوجداني والمعرفي تبعا لمتغير الاختصاص0 وفي ضوء النتائج التي توصل اليها البحث تم وضع جملة من التوصيات والمقترحات0
